Aston Villa had to settle for a point away to Birmingham City in the Second City Derby on Sunday, playing out a tense 0-0 draw at St Andrew's.

For the neutral it was pretty dismal viewing but given the high stakes nature of a passionate derby, both managers will likely settle for a point.

It was a day that the attacking, creative talents on both sides failed to shine with chances few and far between.

That left Villa fans particularly frustrated, especially given Birmingham's struggles in the Championship this season.

Supporters singled out Robert Snodgrass as one of the team's poorer performers and are looking for more from the summer signing after years of goals and assists and other teams.

He's so far just scored and assisted once in nine appearances, both coming against Burton Albion in September.
