Former Aston Villa manager and current Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Paul Lambert was named as the Championship Manger of the Month for March on Friday, beating off competition from Steve Bruce.

Some may have felt that Bruce would win the award after picking up three wins – in which they failed to concede a goal – in his four matches during the month, but a 1-0 loss to Huddersfield ultimately cost him.
Meanwhile, Lambert won three, drew one and lost one in March as he guided Wolves away from the relegation zone.
Villa supporters were quick to have their say on the decision to give the award to their former boss via social media, with some confused as to how Bruce didn’t win it.
However, others were happy as it means that they will avoid the ‘curse’ that it is sometimes said to bring.

@AVFC_News Bruce won't be bothered in the slightest. He's had enough of these in the past. If he isn't then why should we be?
