Aston Villa fans react to Xia’s tweet about possible Amavi exit

Aston Villa owner Tony Xia provided an update on Jordan Amavi’s transfer situation, and the fans have responded.

The 23-year-old has been heavily linked with a move away from the club this summer, two years after he joined from Nice.

Last season, the left-back made 36 appearances, but it seems as though manager Steve Bruce has not included the Frenchman in his plans.

Xia, who regularly communicates with fans on Twitter, took to the social media website to answer a supporter’s question about the Amavi situation.

The Chinese businessman replied by revealing that four clubs are interested in signing the full-back and that the club will not stand in his way if the price is right.

The Birmingham Mail claims that Marseille have already opened talks with Amavi’s camp regarding a loan move, which would result in a permanent £9m deal at the end of the season.

Serie A outfit Fiorentina and the left-back’s former club Nice are also believed to be interested.

As expected, Villa fans had plenty to say when they spotted Xia’s tweet.
