Michy Batshuayi is still struggling to earn a regular spot in Chelsea's first team, but he is certainly giving manager Antonio Conte something to think about.

The Belgian made just one Premier League start in the 2016-17 campaign following his move from Marseille last summer.

The striker came off the bench in a further 19 matches, but he recorded just 239 minutes of action, scoring five goals and producing one assist in that time.

This season, Conte has included Batshuayi in the starting lineup once in the Premier League and brought him on as a substitute in two other top-flight matches.

In total, he has played just 82 minutes of league action so far, but he featured from start to finish in the Blues' 6-0 win over Qarabag in the Champions League.

Batshuayi scored that night and he also found the back of net not once, but three times in Wednesday night's 5-1 win over Nottingham Forest in the third round of the Carabao Cup.

After his impressive performance, the 23-year-old posted his reaction on Twitter.

As expected, the striker was met with plenty of praise from the supporters.
