Slaven Bilic has been under huge scrutiny this season due to West Ham United's lacklustre run.

After managing to fight off relegation fears in the 2016-17 campaign, there was hope that the team would have a brighter start this time around.

It was not to be, though, as they lost their first three matches - all away from home - and have only managed to pick up two wins from nine top-flight matches.

The club are only out of the relegation zone on goal difference and pressure piled on Bilic even more on Friday night when his team were beaten 3-0 by Brighton at the London Stadium.

The Hammers have scored just eight league goals and have allowed 17 to get shipped past them.

Despite the disappointing statistics and results, Sky Sports claim that Bilic's job is safe for now, but if things do not go the club's way against Tottenham Hotspur in the Carabao Cup and at Crystal Palace in the league on Saturday, then the matter could be revisited.

West Ham fans took to Twitter after the news emerged.
