The transfer window's end doesn't necessarily bring the end to movement between players and Manchester City have used it to their advantage, with widespread reports indicating the Citizens have brought in a player from Stateside.

Metro US reports Manchester City have made a move to bring 20-year-old Sporting Kansas City defender Erik Palmer-Brown to the Premier League, becoming the latest American prodigy to move to a top European side in the process.

Named captain of the United States U20 side earlier this year, Palmer-Brown is set to move to Manchester City upon the expiration of his contract- although his motives behind the moves have been questioned, with many predicting he'll be back in the MLS very soon with New York City FC.

Manchester City's youth set-up has been brought into question following the loss of Jadon Sancho to Borussia Dortmund this summer and speculation is rife about the future of numerous youngsters, who seem to have their path into the first-team blocked.

With Pep Guardiola's side boasting a plethora of talent, it's difficult to see how Palmer-Brown will force his way into the first-team reckoning.
