Celtic fans can’t believe how good Jozo Simunovic was on Saturday

Celtic romped to their fifth victory over Rangers this season on Saturday with a thumping 5-1 win at Ibrox. It was the performance of dreams for Celtic fans who, despite their dominance this term, still did not dare to dream that they could go to the home of their heated rivals and destroy them in such a manner.

Pedro Caixinha’s men took a beating and there were outstanding performers across the Celtic team. The goals came from Scott Sinclair, Leigh Griffiths, Callum McGregor, Dedryck Boyata and even Mikael Lustig.

Another man has been attracting all the attention in the wake of the victory though; Jozo Simunovic. The 22 year old Croatian defender put in a masterful display, shutting down Rangers and generally getting stuck into the derby fixture.

A tackle on Kenny Miller in the 24th minute thrilled Celtic supporters. It was clean, fair but perhaps most importantly for fans, as strong a tackle as you are likely to see in any fixture this season. It sent Miller head over heels and crashing to the Ibrox pitch.

His general performance caught the eye of Hoops fans and they took to Twitter to share their thoughts on his performance…
