Celtic put their mid-week European blues behind them on Saturday with a 4-0 thrashing of Ross County at Celtic Park in the Scottish Premiership.

With the three teams chasing them at the top of the table dropping points this weekend, the Hoops have moved two points clear, re-asserting their dominance on the rest of Scottish football.

It was an excellent performance from Brendan Rodgers' men in a fairly experimental line-up that saw the manager start two strikers and re-introduce players like Jonny Hayes into the starting eleven.

Hayes was one of the stand-out performers, putting in an impressive display of hard graft and determination across the ninety minutes. That complemented the Hoops' more dynamic players like Tom Rogic, Moussa Dembele and James Forrest, who all found themselves on the scoresheet.

It was Hayes' first start for over a month and only his 4th of the season. The winger has struggled to get going since his move from Aberdeen but perhaps this performance will see him turn a corner and feature more heavily.

Celtic fans were certainly impressed with his showing and took to Twitter to share their thoughts...
