As reported by The Daily Record, Celtic striker will miss the tail-end of the Hoops’ incredible season after suffering a hamstring injury against Rangers in the Scottish Cup semi-final on Sunday.
That includes the final of the competition against Aberdeen, the final step required to complete a rare domestic treble of trophies.
The young Frenchman has been in ridiculous form this season, scoring a fantastic 32 goals in all competitions.
It’s undoubtedly a blow for the Scottish champions who have come to rely on the striker at points this season. However, it could give him some good rest before important UEFA Champions League qualifiers and it’s not like the Hoops are lacking for firepower.
The likes of Scott Sinclair, Leigh Griffiths and Patrick Roberts all have the goals in them to help their team continue blowing away the opposition.
For supporters, some are relaxed about the situation, some are a little panicky and the rest are mostly just hoping Griffiths can stay fit.
They took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the news…
Dembélé out for the season is a huge blow. Griffiths is a great option but he has had a stop start season, hopefully he stays fit..

Dembele out for the rest of the season. That's us not wining the treble then

Disappointing to see Dembele is out for the rest of the season but I'm sure Griffiths will do fine.

Some squad we have on us that we're not panicking over Dembele missing the rest of the season because Griffiths is a such a good backup.

Dembele has been ruled out for the rest of the season. Shame as he might well have played his last game for us unless BR gets his way.

If Roberts is able to play the Scottish Cup Final, I doubt Griffs will even start with Dembele out for the season.

Sad news about Dembele. Only player for me to take his place in the final, Kris Commons. Don't want to hear anymore about it. ????
