Continuing their unbeaten domestic streak this season, Celtic brushed aside St Johnstone on Saturday with a dominant 4-1 victory at Celtic Park.
With the end of the season now in sight, Hoops fans really believe Brendan Rodgers’ side will now go the entire campaign unbeaten and given the form they showed against St Johnstone on Saturday, who can blame them?
Patrick Roberts, Dedryck Boyata and Callum McGregor were all on the scoresheet in the second half, overpowering Tommy Wright’s side, who had equalised through Steven MacLean.
It was a day of intrigue for supporters who were eager to get their first glimpse of young Michael Johnston, an 18 year old who has been in fine form for the club’s development side.
The attacking midfielder put in a sparkling display. He played the first hour of the match and looked lively throughout. It was his driving run and pass to Roberts which opened the scoring. Was that a first assist of many in a Hoops shirt?
The chances of that are high considering after the game the club announced he had signed a new three year contract.
Fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts on his performance…
I've been talking about how we need a back up for sinclair, never even thought about youth, Johnston looked decent for a young debutant

Mikey Johnston also impressed. Quick feet, good pace & can beat a player easily. Has the basics to be quality. Now about hard work & desire.
