Chelsea fans beg Conte to play Fabregas in FA Cup semi-final

Chelsea fans have questioned manager Antonio Conte over his failure to play Cesc Fabregas on a regular basis.

Supporters were asked by the club’s Twitter feed to pose their questions for a Q&A session with the manager ahead of Saturday’s FA Cup semi-final against Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley.

Calls for Diego Costa to be dropped seem to be a regular occurrence in these circumstances, and this time fans urged Conte to give more game time to Fabregas.

The Spaniard has started just nine Premier League matches this season and has come off the bench in a further 14.

Fabregas played 36 minutes of the 2-0 defeat to Manchester United last Sunday, but has not played a full 90 since the start of April when he scored in a 2-1 loss to Crystal Palace.

In fact, the midfielder has only played a full game on 10 occasions in all competitions this season.

Despite his lack of first-team action, Fabregas has contributed with six goals and seven assists, and many fans believe that he should be given a chance at Wembley ahead of Nemanja Matic.
