Chelsea fans criticise Mourinho for Manchester derby stalemate

A handful of Chelsea supporters criticised their former manager Jose Mourinho for his tactics in Thursday night’s Manchester derby.

The Portuguese coach, who spent five years in charge of the Blues cross two spells, set up his Manchester United team not to lose at the Etihad Stadium.

The highly-anticipated clash between the local rivals did not quite live up to its billing as the two teams played out a goalless draw.

The main talking point of the match was when Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini got sent off for headbutting Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero late in the second half.

In terms of the result, it did little to significantly help the clubs’ hopes of finishing in the top four as they took a point apiece.

United currently reside fifth in the Premier League table one point adrift of fourth-placed City with five games left to play.

The result has no bearing on Chelsea as they are at the top of the standings with a four-point lead, but some of their fans made comments about the quality of the game after the final whistle.
