Tottenham Hotspur confirmed on Friday that they will play all of their home matches at Wembley in the 2017/18 season as their new stadium continues to be built on the White Hart Lane site.

Spurs are currently chasing their first-ever Premier League title as they lie four points behind leaders Chelsea going into the weekend’s fixtures, and the news means that their north London derby against Arsenal on Sunday will be their final one at their current home.

The Blues will certainly take some encouragement from the fact that Tottenham have won just one of their last nine matches at the iconic national arena with the two likely to be title rivals once again next term.

Chelsea supporters were quick to have their say on the developments for their rivals from the capital via social media, with many happy at the news considering the poor record that Spurs have at Wembley.
