Chelsea youngster Charly Musonda has been in the headlines over the last few days after appearing to criticise the club.
According to the Daily Mail, the 20-year-old took to Instagram on Monday to post a cryptic message, which some have taken as a dig at the Blues.
In it, Musonda reportedly wrote:
“You sacrifice, you work hard, harder, you give more than what’s expected, and often more than you can, because you love what you do and clearly more than you should. And what do you get back? Literally nothing… done. However, with this being said I will continue with same dedication and commitment to this great game.”
The youngster, who has been part of the West London outfit since 2012 when he joined the academy from Anderlecht, ended up deleting the caption on Tuesday.
Chelsea are known for rarely giving their young players a chance in the first team, with the majority being sent on loan.
Last season, Musonda played for Real Betis on a temporary spell, featuring in eight La Liga games and starting just one.
Despite the youngster’s criticism of Chelsea, it seems that a number of fans have his backing, with many calling for manager Antonio Conte to play him against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday.
Not happy. We shouldn’t be treating our future like we have been. Poor musonda, he deserves much better
