Chelsea have not had the best start to the Premier League season, but they were given some good news today when Eden Hazard returned to training.
The Belgian international has been nursing a fractured ankle since June, but it appears that he has stepped up his recovery.
Pictures of the playmaker in action on the training pitch with his teammates did the rounds on social media this afternoon.
Not only did Hazard take part in the session; summer signing Tiemoue Bakayoko was also put through his paces.
The midfielder has not been able to play for the Blues yet due to a knee injury that he was already having treated when he joined from Monaco earlier this summer.
The sight of both players taking part in training at the club’s Cobham base has been very well received by fans on Twitter.
Hazard is back in training. Thank goodness. Nice to see Bakayoko there as well 👍🏻 #CFC

If the supporters think that Hazard will play a part in this weekend’s league clash against Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley, though, then they should think again.
Belgian journalist Kristof Terreur tweeted that the 26-year-old is unlikely to be available for selection for a couple of weeks.

Antonio Conte’s men began the defence of their title with a 3-2 defeat to Burnley at Stamford Bridge last Saturday.
As well as losing the game, the West London outfit had captain Gary Cahill and Cesc Fabregas sent off, which means that neither will be eligible to play against Tottenham this weekend.
