Chelsea fans happy as rivals drop points

Chelsea fans had a rare miserable experience on Saturday when they witnessed the team suffer defeat for just the fourth time in the Premier League this season.

Antonio Conte’s men were stunned by Crystal Palace, who claimed a 2-1 triumph at Stamford Bridge, ending the Blues’ eight-game unbeaten run in the top flight.

The four-time Premier League champions are still on course to take the title come May, but their lead has now been cut to seven points, with Tottenham Hotspur residing second with nine games left to play.

On Sunday, all Chelsea fans would have kept tabs on the clash between Arsenal and Manchester City, particularly as the latter will take on the Blues this Wednesday.

A win for the North-West outfit would have put the club nine points behind Chelsea heading into the midweek feature, but they were restricted to a 2-2 draw after Arsenal came from behind twice.

After the misery of Saturday, fans took satisfaction from the result at the Emirates.
