Chelsea fans have high expectations of Bakayoko

With just 11 days to go until the new Premier League season gets underway, players are gearing themselves up for battle, particularly new signings.

One of those new arrivals to the top flight is Tiemoue Bakayoko, who recently joined Chelsea from Monaco in what theΒ London Evening StandardΒ claimed was a Β£40m deal.

The 22-year-old is expected to team up with N’Golo Kante in the middle of the park, but it is unclear when he will make his league debut.

Bakayoko arrived at the club with a knee problem after having an operation at the end of last season, and he is not yet fully fit.

Judging by his Twitter account, the defensive midfielder has Stamford Bridge in his sights.

The Frenchman tweeted a picture of himself gazing out onto the pitch, and wrote that he cannot wait to play his first game at the home of the champions.

Chelsea fans were quick to reply to the post, with many predicting that Bakayoko will be a dominant force in England’s elite.
