Chelsea fans not happy as club considers replacing Conte with Tuchel

According to reports in German publication SportBild, Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia wants to replace manager Antonio Conte with former Borussia Dortmund boss Thomas Tuchel.

SportBild say that the Italian came under pressure after the Blues were beaten by Arsenal in the Community Shield and Burnley on the opening day of the new Premier League season, while he has also been frustrated at the club’s lack of progress in the transfer market with a number of new players still wanted before the window slams shut next Thursday.

The report adds that last season’s top goalscorer Diego Costa was a favourite of Granovskaia, and she wasn’t impressed with how Conte informed the striker by text message that he wasn’t going to be part of his plans for the current campaign.

Chelsea supporters were quick to have their say on the rumour via social media, with some saying that Conte should walk away if the stories are true, while others don’t understand why they would replace the Italian with somebody that was recently sacked by Dortmund after just two years in charge.
