Chelsea winger Jeremie Boga featured as a substitute in their pre-season fixture against Arsenal on Saturday, and the 20-year-old made a big impression.

The Ivory Coast international replaced Pedro when the Spaniard went off with concussion in the first-half and he was one of the Blues’ stand-out performers in their 3-0 win against the Gunners, showcasing his dribbling ability and humiliating a number of his opponents, including Francis Coquelin.

Pedro will miss the rest of the Asian tour as he is set to return to England following the collision with David Ospina, and it means that Boga has a real chance to stake a claim for a spot in the starting line-up for the beginning of the Premier League season next month, with Eden Hazard also absent through injury.

Chelsea supporters were quick to have their say on the performance of the wide-man via social media, with some claiming that he is the “future of Chelsea”, while others believe his abilities could mean that manager Antonio Conte needs to buy one less player this summer.
