The Belgium FA announced on Sunday night that Chelsea star Eden Hazard had fractured his ankle while in training with the national team, and it is reported by The Telegraph that he could be out for six to eight weeks.

The forward was preparing for the friendly against the Czech Republic on Monday night before the Red Devils were due to face Estonia in a 2018 World Cup qualifier on Friday.

As well as being a huge blow for Belgium, the injury will also be a huge concern for Blues boss Antonio Conte, who may now look to up his efforts to sign a new attacker this summer.

Chelsea supporters were quick to have their say on the news via social media, and they were understandably gutted that the 26-year-old could now miss the start of the 2017/18 season, although some were looking on the bright side that at least it happened now and not during the campaign.
