Chelsea supporters would have been hoping on Wednesday night that they could relax for the final few games of the season, but their closest title challengers Tottenham Hotspur got the result they needed to keep pressure on.

The Blues had a seven-point lead at the top of the Premier League yesterday morning after overcoming Southampton 4-2 at Stamford Bridge the previous night.

It was Tottenham's turn to respond when they took on Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park, and a single goal from Christian Eriksen in the 78th minute was enough to cut the gap back down to four points.

With just five games left to play, Chelsea are in the driving seat, but they must get results against Everton, Middlesbrough, West Bromwich Albion, Watford and Sunderland if they want to keep Spurs at arms length.

After learning of Tottenham's victory over Palace, understandably some fans were disappointed and are nervous about the run-in, while others are looking ahead to Sunday's clash against Everton at Goodison Park.
