After 492 Premier League appearances, 67 goals and a whole host of trophies, John Terry played his last game of football for Chelsea on Sunday afternoon.

After 26 minutes of the Blues victory against an already relegated Sunderland, Terry was replaced by Gary Cahill and the former left the Stamford Bridge turf to rapturous applause and cheers, marking a quite incredible tenure with the West London club.

After lifting the Premier League trophy at the end of the game, Terry took to the microphone to pay his respects to current and former players and coaches, owner Roman Abramovich, his family and the Chelsea fans. The 36-year old was overcome with emotion as the realisation of the situation hit home.

Terry has yet to decide what his future holds with regards to his playing career, stating last week that he may still retire from the game altogether.

However, there is no question that Terry will ever find a club to replace Chelsea in his heart, and by the reaction of the fans on social media, they will never find a player to replace John Terry in their hearts...
