Chelsea fans slam Rudiger display in thumping defeat to Roma

Chelsea had a night to forget in the Champions League as they were beaten 3-0 by Roma at the Stadio Olimpico.

Not only did they suffer a setback in their group campaign, the team became the first English club to lose at this stage of the competition.

Antonio Rudiger, in particular, had a torrid evening against Roma, where he spent the last two season before moving to Stamford Bridge in the summer.

The German international was at fault for the second goal as he allowed the ball to run into the path of Stephan El Shaarawy, who nabbed two on the night.

Diego Perotti hammered the final nail in the coffin as he scored a third goal for Roma in the 63rd minute.

As it stands, Chelsea are second in Group C, one point adrift of leaders Roma and four above Atletico Madrid.

On Twitter, Blues fans slammed a number of Antonio Conte’s players, with Rudiger taking the brunt of the criticism.
