Chelsea wing-back Victor Moses once again sat out his side’s clash against Manchester City on Wednesday night because of injury.
It was the second successive match that the Nigeria international missed – he was also absent in the home defeat to Crystal Palace last weekend – after picking up a toe problem against Manchester United last month, and the Blues have certainly looked a little more fragile defensively without him.
The 26-year-old has become a regular in the right wing-back role under Antonio Conte this term after the Italian decided to change his system following a 3-0 defeat to Arsenal in October, and the Nigerian has quickly become one of the key players in the new formation.
When Moses took to social media to congratulate his teammates on another victory, Blues fans were quick to react and tell him that he was needed in the starting line-up.
Great performance from the boys last night big win against a strong City side! The lads showed great character ???????? #CFC
