Chelsea fans want more game time for Nathan Ake

Chelsea fans are confident that Nathan Ake will be a star of the future at Stamford Bridge after his cameo appearance against Everton on Sunday.

The Dutchman, who can play at the back or in a defensive midfield role, spent the first half of the season on loan at Bournemouth.

He started eight Premier League games and came off the bench twice, and also featured on two occasions in the EFL Cup.

As well as carrying out defensive duties, Ake scored three top-flight goals for Bournemouth, but his progress at the Vitality Stadium was halted when Chelsea recalled him in January.

Despite manager Antonio Conte bringing Ake back, the 22-year-old has played in just four games in all competitions since returning to West London.

Three of those outings were in the FA Cup and his first league appearance for Chelsea this season came on Sunday when he replaced injured David Luiz in the 82nd minute of a 3-0 win over Everton.

Ake was only on the pitch for the last eight minutes, but the fans were left impressed by his performance.
