Chelsea supporters frustrated with lack of movement

Alvaro Morata, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Antonio Rudiger and Willy Caballero have all arrived at Chelsea this summer to boost the Premier League champions for the 2017-18 campaign.

More than £120m has been spent on new signings at Stamford Bridge, but it is widely thought that head coach Antonio Conte is still in the market for fresh blood this summer.

Nemanja Matic, Nathan Ake, Juan Cuadrado, Asmir Begovic, Bertrand Traore, Christian Atsu and Nathaniel Chalobah, meanwhile, have all left Chelsea in this transfer window.

Conte’s side made the worst possible start to the new season after losing 3-2 at home to Burnley last weekend, and the pressure will now be on when the Blues travel to Tottenham Hotspur in the league on Sunday afternoon.

A number of players have been linked with Chelsea in recent days, but as it stands, the same squad that lost against Burnley – minus the suspended Gary Cahill and Cesc Fabregas – will travel to Spurs.

The thought of that occurring has angered the Chelsea supporters, who were not afraid to let their feelings be known in response to an official club tweet on Wednesday morning.
