Crystal Palace fans fearing the worst ahead of Manchester United clash

When you have lost all six of your opening Premier League fixtures of the season without scoring the last thing you want is to face an in-form Manchester United at Old Trafford, but that is exactly what Crystal Palace have to do on Saturday and their fans are fearing the worst.

The Eagles come into the clash rock-bottom of the table and having lost 5-0 to Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium last weekend.

Roy Hodgson has overseen two defeats since he replaced Frank de Boer earlier this month, and the fact that striker Christian Benteke has been ruled out for around six weeks because of injury has hardly helped matters on the pitch.

Crystal Palace supporters have been quick to have their say on the meeting with the Red Devils, who are joint-top of the standings and unbeaten this season, via social media, with some fearing their record 9-0 defeat could be beaten at Old Trafford.

Here is just a selection of the Twitter reaction…
