Tottenham Hotspur star Dele Alli attracted the attention of Arsenal supporters when he took to Twitter after playing an influential part in Sunday’s North London derby.

The England international opened the scoring in the 55th minute before Harry Kane converted from the spot after winning a stonewall penalty off Gabriel Paulista.

Arsenal were unable to respond and now they will finish below their rivals in the Premier League table for the first time in 22 years.

Spurs currently have an impressive 17-point lead over their neighbours and they still remain in the hunt for title glory, albeit Chelsea remain favourites as they have a four-point advantage with four games left to play.

After the match, Alli tweeted that Tottenham now ‘own’ North London, but plenty of Arsenal fans disagreed.

It has been a difficult season for the Gunners, and they could struggle to claim a Champions League spot as they are six points adrift of fourth-placed Manchester City with five games left to play.

On the bright side, they could still end the season with silverware as they will be vying for their 13th FA Cup when they take on Chelsea at Wembley towards the end of May.
