Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that Mousa Dembele will undergo a "planned procedure" in order to cure a foot problem.The midfielder has struggled with the injury throughout the season, which has prevented him from regularly finishing a game.Dembele played in 30 Premier League matches, but on only eight occasions did he feature for the entire 90 minutes.Due to the procedure, the 29-year-old will be absent from Spurs' post-season trip to Hong Kong, where they will face Kitchee FC in a friendly on Friday.

The club have insisted that Dembele is expected to return in time for pre-season, but some fans are concerned about possible setbacks.

Dembele is a notable absentee from the travelling squad, which is full of first-team stars, including Harry Kane and Dele Alli.

Kyle Walker has also been included in the group, despite missing the last few games with an injury.

The right-back's future has also been a talking point during the campaign after he was left out of some major games by manager Mauricio Pochettino.
