It can't have been easy being a Tottenham Hotspur fan on Saturday. Having craved major honours for so long, they saw their team fall to a Wembley semi-final defeat to Chelsea in a pulsating and dramatic match.

With the game poised at 2-2 with just 15 minutes remaining, many watching thought that the game was destined for extra-time. However, a benched Eden Hazard came on and changed the game, scoring to break Spurs hearts before Nemanja Matic settled things with a thumping top corner drive.

The 4-2 scoreline means that Spurs' curse at Wembley continues, having now lost there seven times since 2008. Three of those have been FA Cup semi-finals and the wait continues for the club to again lift the trophy they last won in 1991.

Fans though are remaining upbeat, understanding they are in the middle of a long-term project that they hope will one day produce trophies.

They've responded defiantly to the results, as disappointing as it was, to re-iterate the pride they take in their current upward trajectory.
