Chelsea have offloaded academy teenager Dominic Solanke to Liverpool, and some fans are not particularly happy about it.

The Merseyside outfit confirmed on Tuesday evening that the club have agreed terms to sign the 19-year-old on July 1 when his contract at Chelsea expires.

The Liverpool Echo reports that Chelsea will receive a £3m fee for Solanke, who is not permitted to leave Stamford Bridge for free given that he is under the age of 24.

The forward, who has represented the England Under-21s, is expected to initially join the Reds' Under-23 squad rather than be thrown into Jurgen Klopp's first team.

Reports have claimed that the teenager will picked less than £20,000 a week at Anfield.

Solanke has spent 13 years developing at Chelsea, eventually making his senior debut in October 2014.

He went on to join Dutch club Vitesse on loan in the 2015-16 campaign, scoring seven goals in 25 Eredivisie appearances, but he struggled to gain game time under Chelsea manager Antonio Conte this season.

After the news was announced, Blues fans gave their views on Twitter, with some disappointed to lose an academy product.
