Everton required a 90th minute penalty to rescue a draw against English Premier League new boys Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday.
With the game at a goalless deadlock heading into the last ten minutes, the Seagulls looked like they would win all three points when they finally broke the deadlock thanks to Anthony Knockaert in the 82nd minute.
However, the Toffees found their way to goal eventually thanks to Wayne Rooney’s composure when required to stick the ball in the back of the net from the spot in the final minutes of the game.
Everton fans weren’t overly impressed with the result and even more distressed by the performance. It has been a rough start to the season for the Goodison Park side and after eight matches they have amassed just eight points, perilously close to the relegation zone.
Some supporters are even asking for Ronald Koeman to receive his marching orders before their season goes from bad to worse.
They took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the day’s action and what it means…
Not good enough that. Only positive to take was Vlasic who was excellent. Koeman's got two big games this week to save his job #efc

Koeman needs to get the bullet, no ifs or buts about it. It is clear to see that we are on a hiding to nothing with him in charge #EFC

Was horrendous, that. Huge let off. Hard not to be hugely concerned about this team #EFC

Our season will be over before Koeman goes. We always act when it's too late.

Did Koeman actually do any homework on Brighton regards team selection. Slow lumbering beasts in midfield. Was begging for width and pace.
