Ronald Koeman has been under the microscope over the past few weeks due to Everton’s poor run of results.
The Merseyside outfit are just two points above the relegation zone in the Premier League as a result of picking up just seven points from a possible 21.
After spending more than £100m on new signings in the summer, expectation was raised on the club, particularly as it is their aim to break into the top six.
So far, the team have not been able to impress their fans on the pitch, particularly in the attacking areas.
Koeman brought in Wayne Rooney and Sandro Ramirez, but he lost Romelu Lukaku to Manchester United and failed to recruit a suitable replacement.
The Toffees have scored just four league goals in the campaign, and former Liverpool striker Stan Collymore believes that the club are in desperate need of a new forward player.
While questions have been raised over Koeman’s future, Collymore believes that Everton should stand by their man.
In his column for The Mirror, the football pundit wrote:
“What I would say to Evertonians is that they should get behind Koeman and stick with him. They are a very patient bunch of supporters and I know they like Koeman. They appreciate the players he has brought in even though they know there is one piece of the jigsaw that they are missing.
“Koeman is obviously a very experienced manager and, frankly, if they turned on him and the board decided to make a change then the new boss couldn’t bring in a new striker until January.”
Everton fans do not exactly agree with his sentiments…
Stan we are spinning out of control. Koeman not the answer

Usually well informed Stan but this article is way off. 1 away win in 20, no connection between fans & RK along with dire route 1 football

A LOT more wrong than just the striker issue – it's desperate to watch.

it's more than lacking a striker. His team selection is poor his subs are poor and he doesn't seem to care

Stan, it's the negative way he sets us up, no width, no pace, and we can't defend! https://t.co/IGzXI2s6WD
