According to reports in the Daily Mail, Everton have won the race to sign in demand KAS Eupen forward Henry Onyekuru.

The report states the Nigeria international – who was also attracting interest from Premier League rivals Arsenal and West Ham United – completed a medical at the Toffees’ Finch Farm training base on Monday and has agreed personal terms.

The 20-year-old was one of the most coveted young players in Europe following an outstanding campaign in Belgium in which he scored 24 goals in 41 matches in all competitions, despite starting the majority of those on the left wing, and the Daily Mail says that he will join Anderlecht on a season-long loan deal to continue his development.

Everton supporters were quick to have their say on the rumoured completion of the deal for the highly-rated starlet, and they were only not impressed with the signing and the potential the player has, but also how the deal was supposedly kept under wraps and came out of nowhere.
