Everton playmaker Ross Barkley has been through the mill this season. Initially out-of-favour under former Southampton manager Ronald Koeman, the England international’s form improved after some stern words from the Dutch manager.
Following that, however, was his attacking in a Liverpool nightclub and the circus which followed led mainly buy The Sun newspaper.
Since that debacle calmed down there has been building speculation over his Goodison Park future, to the point where – earlier this week – Koeman issued the England international with an ultimatum, sign now or leave the club.
The the former Barcelona defender’s warning still ringing in his ears the Toffees No.8 walked out under the lights on Friday night to score the only goal in a 1-0 win over Watford.
However, despite the winning goal his performance was still not enough to please many Everton fans, who took to social media to vent their frustration…
You don’t publicly give a player an ultimatum if you care about him or value him! Evertonians treating Barkley like Geordies did Sissoko…
