Everton fans react as Toffees duo argue on pitch during Manchester United draw

Everton stars Romelu Lukaku and Ashley Williams were caught having a heated argument on the pitch during their side’s 1-1 draw with Manchester United on Tuesday night.

It’s not known what the discussion between the two players was about, but fans of the Merseyside club have speculated that the Welshman was either angry at the 23-year-old’s work rate, or his failure to hold the ball up on numerous occasions.

Despite Phil Jagielka’s first half goal looking like it was going to give Ronald Koeman’s side all three points, Williams was dismissed in the dying embers of the match after handling a goal-bound effort, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic duly despatched the penalty for Jose Mourinho’s men.

While some Toffees supporters leapt to the defence of the Belgian striker over the vocal incident with Willians, the majority sided with the Wales international and believed that he had every right to criticise the attacker.
