Everton fans have had a rather enjoyable summer watching their club bring in eight new faces, but this latest rumour has risen a level.

In a press conference this week, manager Ronald Koeman refused to rule out signing wantaway Chelsea striker Diego Costa on loan.

The Spain international has spent the entire summer in Brazil, refusing to return to West London after he was told that the club no longer wanted him.

In an interview with the Daily Mail, Costa hit out at manager Antonio Conte and accused the club of treating him like a criminal.

In a statement released on Thursday, the 28-year-old made it clear that he only wants to join his former club Atletico Madrid and has no intention of returning to Chelsea.

The problem, though, is that the Spanish club cannot register new players until January 2018 when their transfer embargo expires, hence why short-term loan deals elsewhere are being mentioned.

It is unknown whether the Blues would be willing to agree a loan deal for Costa, but Everton fans have certainly been giving their views on the rumour.
