Everton fans urge club to give Gylfi Sigurdsson what he wants

According to reports in The Mirror, Everton have agreed a £25m fee with Premier League rivals Swansea City for Gylfi Sigurdsson, but the 27-year-old’s £120,000-a-week wage demands could scupper the deal.

Toffees manager Ronald Koeman is understood to be looking for a new attacking midfielder whether Ross Barkley leaves the club or not this summer, and he is believed to be a huge fan of the Iceland international following another fine season for the Welsh club.

Sigurdsson scored nine goals and provided a further 13 assists to help the Swans narrowly avoid relegation to the Championship, but now rumours suggest that he could leave the Liberty Stadium for Merseyside this summer.

Everton supporters were quick to have their say on the story via social media, with many urging the club to pay the 27-year-old whatever he wants to ensure that they bring him to Goodison Park.
