Everton had so much promise heading into the new season after their spending spree in the summer.
The Merseyside outfit parted with more than £100m to bring in a handful of new recruits, including Wayne Rooney, Gylfi Sigurdsson and Michael Keane.
While business off the pitch has gone well, the action on it has not gone to plan for manager Ronald Koeman.
The Toffees have claimed victory just once in their four Premier League outings, and that was on the opening weekend when Rooney’s goal made the difference against Stoke City.
Since then, Everton have drawn 1-1 with Manchester City and suffered a 2-0 defeat to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
Koeman’s side had hoped to return from the international break on a positive note, but they ended up getting beaten 3-0 by Tottenham Hotspur at Goodison Park.
The result has frustrated many fans, particularly because of the summer spending, but the team are still lacking that clinical edge up front.
The club no longer have a guaranteed scorer following Romelu Lukaku’s move to Manchester United.
Away from the senior team, Ademola Lookman impressed for the Under-23s by scoring in a 4-1 triumph over Tottenham on Sunday.

This strike prompted fans to urge Koeman to give the 19-year-old a chance at top-flight level.
