Everton star Barkley ‘knocked out in bar fracas’, fans react

CCTV footage doing the rounds on social media appears to show Everton star Ross Barkley getting punched in the face while in a bar, reports The Mirror.

The incident is alleged to have occurred in Santa Chupitos cocktail bar in Liverpool city centre during the early hours of Monday morning.

In the footage, it appears that the midfielder is talking to another man and then suddenly gets hit with a single punch and drops to the floor.

The Mirror claims that Everton are looking into the incident to see if Barkley had any involvement.

The unsavoury scenes come just hours after the midfielder played a pivotal role in Everton’s 4-2 triumph over Leicester City in the Premier League at Goodison Park.

Barkley has made the headlines numerous times this season due to his performances on the field, and whether or not he will sign a new contract at his boyhood club.

This story has put the 23-year-old back in the headlines for very different reasons, and as expected, fans have been discussing the shocking reports on Twitter.
