Everton tweeted their congratulations to striker Romelu Lukaku after he was named in the PFA Team of the Year on Thursday, but comments from football fans were not quite as supportive.
The Belgian international was named alongside Tottenham Hotspur forward Harry Kane, who was one of four Spurs players included.
Premier League leaders Chelsea also had four representatives, while Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea and Liverpool star Sadio Mane were also selected.

Lukaku has been prolific in front of goal this season, topping the division’s charts with 24.
His long-term future at Goodison Park remains uncertain, though, as he is yet to sign a new contract with the Toffees.
It is regular practice for clubs to tweet their praise or congratulations when one of their players picks up an award or receives an accolade.
This time it was no different as Everton reached out to their Belgian hitman.

Unfortunately for Lukaku, though, the post attracted some unwanted comments, with some rival fans questioning his quality.
Others tried to goad Everton supporters by suggesting that the striker has agreed to return to Chelsea, where he left in 2014 to join the Toffees on a permanent basis.
