Fulham and Reading are putting together their final preparations for this evening’s massive fixture at Craven Cottage. With the regular season over, the play-offs are about to begin and for supporters of both clubs it’s a momentous occasion. It doesn’t get much bigger in football than going to head-to-head for a place in the English Premier League.
Having finished third in the table, Jaap Stam’s Royals should have some confidence going into the fixture, but Fulham have been in exceptional form, winning five of their last six fixtures and drawing the other to pip Leeds United to the final play-off spot.
It’ll be a tough ask to beat them on their own patch but if Reading can salvage a draw, anything can happen in the second leg this Tuesday night at the Madejski Stadium.
Both sets of supporters are showing bravado, both sets are showing nerves, it’s the kind of 90 minutes that ruins you as a football fan.
Fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts on it all…
Hearing reports the game has been called off, as Fulham have won the playoffs already.

Do #readingfc really add anything to the 2nd tier, never mind the top flight?
Seriously nondescript town.

Rather significant game for Fulham early tomorrow. Fear that a very pragmatic Reading will Park the ???? 1-1.#fulhamfc
