Chelsea fans were counting down the clock to the day when Eden Hazard would play again following time out with an ankle injury.

This season so far, the playmaker has made seven appearances in all competitions, but just one Premier League start as he builds up a return to maximum fitness.

On Tuesday night, the 26-year-old featured for his national team Belgium and managed to find the back of the net twice.

The midfielder's first goal was a shot from outside the box, while his second was converted from the penalty spot.

It was a positive night for the Hazard family as Eden's brother Thorgan, who plays for Borussia Monchengladbach, also got on the scoresheet in a 4-0 triumph over Cyprus.

As expected, Chelsea fans were quick to praise their star man.

Hazard could be in line to make his second league start for the reigning champions when they face Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park this Saturday.
