Kane vows to ‘come back stronger’ after ligament damage confirmed

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has delivered a positive message to fans on Twitter after it was confirmed that he suffered ankle ligament damage.

The England international limped off the pitch in the first half of Sunday’s 6-0 rout over Millwall in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.

A challenge from Jake Cooper looked to have twisted Kane’s ankle, but now the extent of the damage has been revealed by the North London outfit.

Via Twitter, Spurs announced that the Premier League’s joint top leading scorer picked up a similar problem that kept him out of 10 games earlier in the season.

However, the club have insisted that this time around it is not as serious, indicating that he may not be on the treatment table for as long.

It is bad timing from Tottenham’s point of view considering that they are trying to fight for a spot in the top four and now have an FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea to prepare for.

Kane is not letting it get him down, though, as he took to social media to give his first reaction after suffering the injury blow.
