Kodjia provides injury update, Aston Villa fans react

It is been a difficult start to the season for Aston Villa, whose aim is to be fighting for Premier league promotion come May.

Steve Bruce’s side fell short in the previous campaign, and despite making some impressive signings – including Chelsea legend John Terry – it took the team four games to earn a victory.

The win came on Saturday in a 4-2 triumph over Norwich City, which pulled the club’s points total up to four out of a possible 12.

Many fans have been yearning for last season’s top goalscorer Jonathan Kodjia, who nabbed 19 league goals, but the striker recently suffered a setback in his recovery from an ankle injury.

The 27-year-old has been on the sidelines since April and after this latest blow he is expected to be out for a further month.

The Ivory Coast international provided an update to his injury situation by replying to a fan on Twitter.

The forward has not given a timeline for recovery but the fans would prefer Kodjia to take his time and not rush back into action.
