Leeds United boss Thomas Christiansen said on Monday that he was confident of keeping star man Chris Wood at Elland Road this summer.Burnley are believed to have failed with a bid for the New Zealand international over the weekend, although the Clarets are expected to return with an improved offer this week.Wood scored 30 times in all competitions for Leeds last season, whilst he has managed one goal in two league appearances for the Whites at the start of the new campaign. It would be fair to say that Wood's departure would leave Leeds short in the final third of the field, although there is still time for the club to bring in fresh blood before this summer's transfer window closes for business. Many Leeds supporters have welcomed Christiansen's comments as the club looks to challenge for promotion to the Premier League, but there are many that feel that Wood could seek pastures new, especially with the chance to play top-flight football on offer.
