Leeds fans frustrated and disappointed as Norwich sail to 3-1 lead

A few months ago, Leeds United appeared nailed on for a place in the playoffs – whilst some even tipped them to threaten Newcastle United and Brighton for one of the automatic promotion slots.

But in the last few weeks, the Whites’ bid to return to the Premier League has disastrously imploded, with Fulham taking their spot in the top six ahead of this weekend’s round of Championship fixtures.

And to make matters worse, Leeds’ hopes of reversing their fortunes to get back into playoff reckoning now appear to have been completely quashed by Norwich City – who are also destined for another season in the second tier.

Indeed, this afternoon’s clash with the Canaries was a must-win affair but Leeds have entered half-time 3-1 down following goals from Nelson Oliveira and Steven Naismith.
