Leeds United entered Saturday's clash with Bristol City off the back of three straight defeats in the Championship.

Indeed, what had been a very strong start to the 2017-18 campaign was threatening to unravel as they lost at Cardiff City and Sheffield Wednesday, and at home to Reading.

There was a lot of pressure on the team entering the trip to Bristol City, but a strong performance from the Whites saw them record a 3-0 victory.

The result has left Leeds in fourth position in the Championship table on 23 points, and after travelling to Leicester City in the EFL Cup on Tuesday night, they will look to make it back-to-back league wins at home to Sheffield United on October 27.

On Saturday, Leeds defender Luke Ayling, who is valued at £900k by transfermarkt.co.uk, took to Twitter to reveal his delight at the result, in addition to pay tribute to the Leeds fans for their support.

As expected, Ayling's words were well received by the club's supporters, who in turn were keen to hail the 26-year-old for his impressive performance.
