Leeds owner targeted by fans worried about Monk’s future

With Garry Monk’s contract situation still unresolved, Leeds United fans have contacted co-owner Andrea Radrizzani on Twitter asking for an update.

The former Swansea City boss signed a 12-month contract when he joined the Whites last summer.

Leeds have been quick to change managers in the past, but after overcoming a difficult start to the season, Monk has transformed the team into promotion contenders.

The club now sit fifth in the Championship table, five points above Fulham, who are the closest challengers to the playoff spots with six games left to play.

If Leeds secure a place in the playoffs, they will play three more games before their fate is decided, but even if they fail to earn promotion to the Premier League, fans are keen for him to stay.

Throughout the season, when broached on the subject, Monk has often insisted that he is focused on the games ahead and that no talks have taken place regarding a new deal.

Understandably, supporters have been left feeling worried and have turned to Radrizzani in a bid to convince the hierarchy to offer Monk a new contract.
