Leeds supporters delighted with win against Burton

Leeds United moved into second position in the Championship table with a 5-0 win over struggling Burton Albion at Elland Road on Saturday afternoon.

Pierre Michel-Lasogga scored twice on his debut for the Whites, whilst Kalvin Phillips, Pablo Hernandez and Kemar Roofe were also on the scoresheet in the five-goal success.

It would be fair to say that a number of Leeds supporters were disappointed when New Zealand international Chris Wood left the club last month, but on-loan Hamburger SV forward Lasogga made an instant impression at Elland Road.

Leeds are still unbeaten in the Championship this season, and now sit just two points behind the league leaders Cardiff City after six games of the 2017-18 campaign.

There is no question that the former Champions League outfit are building momentum, and the club’s supporters were absolutely delighted with the 5-0 win over Burton, who have dropped into the relegation zone after a poor start to the new season.
